Solmuton is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have under GDPR.
1. Data Controller
Solmuton is the data controller for personal data collected in connection with our services.

2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to deliver and support our services:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number
- Business information: company name and type
- Service data: device details for managed devices, IT support requests
- Billing information: invoicing details (we do not store payment card data)
- Communication records: emails, support interactions, and messages or attachments submitted through support tools
- Marketing preferences: mailing-list email address, confirmation status, and subscription or unsubscribe records
3. Why We Process Your Data
- To deliver and manage IT services under our contract with you
- To provide technical support and remote assistance
- To issue invoices and process payments
- To send service-related notices and updates
- With your consent, to send product launch news and other marketing you requested

- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — main basis for service delivery
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — security monitoring and service improvement

5. Data Retention
- Service and support data: retained for the duration of the contract and 3 years after termination
- Accounting records: 7 years, as required by the Finnish Accounting Act
- Mailing-list data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent; a minimal suppression record may be retained to respect your choice
6. Data Sharing
We use Google Workspace (Google LLC) for email and file storage. Data is processed within the EU/EEA. We also use the website support chat hosted at cw.solmuton.fi; messages or attachments you provide through the chat are processed to respond to your request. Brevo acts as our email-marketing service provider when you join a mailing list; subscription uses email confirmation, and every marketing message includes an unsubscribe option. We do not sell your data to third parties.

8. Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand website use. When advertising measurement is enabled, Google Ads tags may also be used to measure advertising performance. Google tags receive your consent choice through Consent Mode before analytics or advertising storage is enabled.
